Brasil Game Show 2023 was marked by a notable absence, as gaming industry giants Sony and Microsoft chose not to participate.

However, this void was ably filled by an abundance of attractions, including the debut of Sega/Atlus at the event, which brought its own stand, impressing everyone with its grandeur.
National and International Attractions
As is usual at Brasil Game Show, the 2023 edition did not disappoint in terms of celebrities.

The event was attended by renowned international and Brazilian names.
But among them, Takashi Iizuka, the director of the Sonic series, Jun Senoue, composer of the iconic blue hedgehog games, and Naoki Yoshida and Koji Fox, responsible for the Final Fantasy 14 and 16 universes, respectively, stood out.
Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of the Tetris phenomenon, was also present.
Kenny James, the voice behind Bowser in the Super Mario franchise, shared the stage with Charles Martinet (Luigi and Mario) and Samantha Kelly (Princess Peach).
Shota Nakama's Videogame Orchestra and the presence of Nolan Bushnell, considered the father of Atari, delighted fans.
But we still had Ned Luke and Shawn Fonteno, the talented voice actors from Grand Theft Auto 5, participating in this great meeting of gamers.
In addition to industry personalities, internet influencers, such as the popular Brazilian Zangado, were present for photo shoots, autographs and exciting talks.
The Meet & Greet stages, sponsored by TCL, brought visitors closer to their idols, providing memorable moments.
Special musical concerts, with the illustrious presence of maestro Shota Nakama, played hit songs from the Sonic series and other games, taking the audience into an ecstasy of joy.
So the tradition was maintained with the famous BGS 2023 cosplay contest, held at the BGS Arena.
Even for those who did not participate in the competition, the opportunity to take photos with game characters of all types was available to everyone.
Nintendo – The Magical World of Super Mario
Nintendo, home of the iconic Super Mario, continued its tradition of presenting a captivating booth at BGS.
But this year's highlight was Super Mario Wonder, the beloved plumber's newest adventure.
Visitors were able to experience a demo of the game, which included five levels, each revealing exciting features of the new game.
But one of the main new features was the ability to transform Mario into a charming little elephant, capable of launching jets of water with his trunk.
Super Mario Wonder also brought new game mechanics, such as the possibility of earning special badges based on the player's performance.

In addition to the long-awaited Mario title, visitors were able to enjoy a variety of games already released for the Nintendo Switch, such as Super Mario Strikers, Super Mario Party, Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, among others.
Each game played earned stickers, and upon completing the special event card, players received beautiful keychains.
But the booth also offered the opportunity to link your MyNintendo accounts, ensuring an adorable collection of vinyl figures of Super Mario Wonder characters.
Then lucky visitors had the chance to obtain an exclusive Pokémon for use in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet.
The collection of posters, including some never-before-seen pieces, completed the experience.
Sega/Atlus – The Adventure of the Blue Hedgehog and Beyond
Sega and Atlus surprised visitors with a vast and diverse stand that lived up to the legacy of their franchises.
But among the attractions, highlights include demonstrations of games such as “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth” and “Persona 3 Reload”, with opportunities for 360-degree photos and the presence of professional cosplayers.
Each completed demo yielded special posters and pins for players.
The new chapter in Sonic's story, “Sonic Superstars”, delighted fans, placing Sonic and his friends in a race against time to thwart the plans of the evil Dr. Robotnik.
The vibrant design and lovable characters ensured a fun experience.
But the Persona series games also had their moment in the spotlight.
With “Persona 3 Reload”, a remake of the classic RPG from the PlayStation 2 era, which presented a double demo showing graphical and gameplay improvements.
“Persona 5 Tactica”, a spin-off of Persona 5 in the style of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, was announced for soon release.
Yakuza fans had the opportunity to try two new games in the franchise: “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth” and “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name”.
These games explored the wackiness and twists of the Yakuza series, providing exciting adventures.
Sega/Atlus also introduced “Endless Dungeon”, a game that challenges players to explore dungeons in search of challenges and increasing rewards with each raid.
This version of the game for consoles marked the first time that the “Endless” franchise reached this audience.
Ubisoft – Fun and New Releases
The French video game giant, Ubisoft, brought its usual dose of fun and news to Brasil Game Show 2023.
But in addition to the areas dedicated to the popular “Just Dance” and “Rainbow Six Siege”, visitors were able to test demos of recently released games and try out a title scheduled for release in January 2024.
This was one of the first opportunities for the public to check out this game.
Recent releases have included test stations for “The Crew Motorfest,” an exciting “Forza Horizon”-style racing game.
“Assassin's Creed Mirage” was also highlighted, with a setting that recreated ancient Baghdad, providing a visually stunning experience.
But Ubisoft's biggest highlight was “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown”, a new chapter in a franchise with almost 40 years of history.
Visitors were able to experience a full demo, which revealed many of the game's exciting elements.
Samsung – Innovation in Technology
Samsung, a giant in the television industry, impressed visitors with a stand full of attractions.
But among the new features, new models of high definition televisions were revealed, including the new generation of the Odyssey Ark and the Odyssey Neo G9, with an incredible 57 inches.
The second generation of Freestyle, a projector that offers up to 180 degrees of rotation, was also presented.
Taiwan Excellence – Highlighting Innovation and Quality
Taiwan Excellence, an award that recognizes excellence in research and development in Taiwan, was present at BGS 2023 with some of the country's main brands.
Companies such as ADATA, Apacer, ASRock, ASUS, BenQ, Edimax, Gigabyte, G.SKILL, InWin, Makalot, Maktar, Teamgroup and Thermaltek presented their innovations and products.
AOC Agon – Competition and High-end Monitors
AOC Agon made an impressive entrance at BGS 2023, showing off its new line of monitors aimed at gamers.
Furthermore, it promoted championships involving professional players sponsored by the brand, challenging visitors to the event.
Dell – Innovation in Gamer Computing
Dell, one of the largest manufacturers of computers and accessories for gamers, had a significant space at BGS 2023, presenting several innovations that excited visitors.
Intel – Next Generation Processors
Intel was present at Brasil Game Show 2023 with exciting announcements, including the 14th generation i5 and i9 processors, as well as the Meteor Lake series.
But this new line of processors brings changes to the nomenclature, abandoning the “i” in favor of names like Ultra 5, 7 and 9.
HyperX – Special Offers and Quality Peripherals
HyperX, an HP brand, celebrated its tenth consecutive participation at BGS with special offers, discounts of up to 57% and the opportunity to test peripherals at the stand.
But in addition, HyperX presented the HP Smart Tank 581, an exclusive product with only 50 units worldwide.
LG – High Performance Curved Monitors
LG brought an impressive line of UltraGear curved monitors aimed at gamers, competing with Samsung products.
These monitors offer exceptional image quality, with QuadHD resolution and ultra-fast refresh rates.
Conclusion
In short, BGS 2023 stood out for its ability to compensate for the absence of the sector's giants with a wide range of national and international attractions.
But the stands from Nintendo, Sega/Atlus, Ubisoft, Samsung, Taiwan Excellence, AOC Agon, Dell, Intel, HyperX, LG and many others provided visitors with an unparalleled experience in the gaming world.
So every year, Brasil Game Show reaffirms its place as one of the main gamer entertainment events in the world.
